            <p id="isPasted"><strong>INTERNAL VACANCY</strong></p><p><strong>This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.</strong></p><p id="isPasted">The University is strengthening its employer-facing education portfolio, and this role will play a central part in that development. As Academic Director within, you will provide academic leadership across a growing portfolio that includes degree apprenticeships and continuing professional development (CPD). Working closely with the Director of Revenue Growth, you will help ensure that this provision aligns with institutional strategy while responding to evolving employer and industry needs.</p><p>You will lead on the academic oversight of employer-focused provision, ensuring that programmes are coherent, high-quality, and aligned with both regulatory requirements and market demand. This includes supporting the design and review of programmes, contributing to the development of new provision, and helping position the University to expand partnerships and diversify income streams.</p><p>A significant part of the role involves overseeing academic quality assurance and enhancement across the Professional Development Unit (PDU) portfolio. You will work with internal teams and external bodies to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and play a key role in preparation for and engagement with regulatory processes, including inspections.</p><p>You will also contribute to operational effectiveness&mdash;working with professional service teams to ensure that systems for programme approval, monitoring, and delivery are robust and efficient. Alongside this, you will build strong relationships across the University and with external partners, supporting collaboration between academic units, employers, and stakeholders.</p><p>You will bring experience of academic leadership in programme development and quality assurance, alongside an understanding of higher education and work-based learning, including apprenticeships and professional education. The ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively is essential.</p><p>You should have experience of developing or delivering employer-funded or apprenticeship provision, and an understanding of academic quality processes within higher education. Experience of programme oversight or participation in regulatory or inspection processes would be beneficial.</p><p>You will currently hold an academic role within the University, and be comfortable working across both strategic and operational contexts.</p><p>We welcome applicants with a range of experiences and perspectives, including those who have developed relevant skills in different settings.&nbsp;</p><p>Further information is available in the role profile.
