You will join a lively, intellectually stimulating environment committed to academic rigour, innovation, and student success.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>As Assistant Professor, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high‑quality, research‑informed teaching across our undergraduate programmes, and will actively influence excellent teaching practice with the School.</p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, early‑career academic, to develop their teaching portfolio within a supportive and inclusive School.</p><p>We welcome applications from candidates with interests and experience across the full range of Economics disciplines.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Develop and deliver engaging and innovative teaching across a range of Economics modules</li><li>Prepare, assess and mark examinations and coursework to a high academic standard</li><li>Supervise and examine undergraduate dissertations</li><li>Support tutorial groups, fostering subject knowledge, confidence and independent learning skills</li><li>Contribute positively to the School&rsquo;s teaching community, supporting initiatives that promote teaching and learning policy development and address issues of student underrepresentation</li><li>Play an active role in the pastoral support of students, sensitively addressing wellbeing and academic concerns</li><li>Undertake relevant administrative duties that support the running of the School</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Economics or Econometrics and a track-record of high- quality teaching development and delivery.
