The role focuses on leading the development, review, and implementation of teaching, assessment, and placement support plans, ensuring that students particularly those with disabilities receive appropriate and consistent adjustments across all stages of their studies.</p><p>A core aspect of the role involves acting as the central point of contact for inclusion-related matters, providing confidential advice and guidance to students, staff, and applicants. The post holder manages communications, delivers workshops, and supports students through one-to-one engagement, while monitoring student progress and identifying any areas of concern requiring intervention.</p><p>The role also requires close collaboration with academic staff, professional services, and external partners to ensure compliance with university policies and professional accreditation requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating examination and placement adjustments, analysing data to inform support strategies, and maintaining accurate records in line with data protection regulations.</p><p>Overall, the position combines strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to enhance the student experience, promote inclusion, and ensure equitable access to learning opportunities across the School.</p><p>About the Team</p><p>The role sits within the Teaching, Learning and Assessment Team at the University of Nottingham&rsquo;s School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. &nbsp;The team works collaboratively to ensure that teaching, assessment, and student support processes are well coordinated and delivered to all students.</p><p>This involves working closely with academic staff, professional services, and external partners to deliver a cohesive and compliant approach to student support. &nbsp;The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on professionalism, inclusivity, operational excellence and service development.</p><p>About you</p><p>You will bring relevant qualifications or substantial experience in further or higher education, alongside strong administrative experience, data handling and reporting skills, and a sound understanding of GDPR. Based within &ldquo;The Barn&rdquo; at Sutton Bonington Campus you will be responsible for the operation, organisation and supervision of a catering unit.</p><p>These are key positions within the Catering Team and will have duties that include preparing the dining room and servery area for service, organising Formal Dinners and events and all aspects of training, motivating and supervising a team including preparing rota&#39;s and using the departments time and attendance system. You will also liaise with suppliers and other internal departments and will lead your team to ensure excellent service is provided to our customers at all times.</p><p>Candidates should have supervisory experience gained within a similar environment, proven planning, administration and organisational skills and have experience of stock control. This role will include frequent lifting and moving of a range of items that can be heavy but lifting aids and full training will be provided.</p><p>Further details regarding the duties, qualifications and experience for the role can be found on the attached job role profile.</p><p>Available Post</p><p>Hours of work are 25 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged, mainly Monday to Friday to include occasional weekends for events and conferences between the hours of 09.00am-4.00pm on a permanent rolling contract 52 weeks of the year basis to include student vacation periods and will attract 15% pay uplift allowance for any hours worked at the weekend.             <p id="isPasted">Postdoctoral Research Associate / Postdoctoral Research Fellow</p><p>We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow to join iBreed, an ambitious research programme funded by the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation, focused on the development of a novel in vitro gametogenesis platform.</p><p>The iBreed programme is a collaborative project between research groups led by Professor Ramiro Alberio at the University of Nottingham and Dr Tom Burdon and Professor Ian Adams at the University of Edinburgh (The Roslin Institute). The project aims to apply state-of-the-art stem cell and developmental biology approaches to generate bovine gametes, addressing fundamental questions in reproduction while delivering tools with significant translational potential.</p><p>You will join a highly interactive, interdisciplinary team and contribute to cutting-edge research at the interface of developmental biology, stem cell biology and reproductive technologies. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the Nottingham and Edinburgh teams and will be encouraged to develop independent ideas within the broader aims of the programme.</p><p>Candidate profile</p><p>You will have a strong scientific background in one or more of the following areas:</p><p>&middot; Developmental biology and/or stem cell biology</p><p>&middot; Organ or tissue culture systems</p><p>&middot; Gene editing or genetic manipulation</p><p>You will be highly motivated, proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in cell biology, developmental biology or a closely related discipline; candidates who are nearing submission of their PhD thesis in a relevant area will also be considered.</p><p>A track record of peer-reviewed publications is desirable.
