            <p><strong><em>Please note this vacancy is for current employees of the university only</em></strong></p><p id="isPasted">The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1300 people and provide a wide range of services across our UK sites.</p><p>We are looking for an experienced Engineering Asset Investment Manager to lead and manage condition surveys, data collection and the evaluation of condition against set industry standards for all key and business critical assets ensuring all assets are prioritised against business risk.</p><p>You will be responsible for developing a ten-year asset replacement plan based on HESA condition data for all statutory and key assets, including the prioritisation of tasks based on business risk maintaining an on-going pipeline of works for multi- year contractual delivery. You will also manage a team of staff whose primary role is to oversee the technical requirement of all M&amp;E functions across the University and will liaise with the Responsive Maintenance Team and Capital Projects Team to ensure engineering excellence in is achieved all investments.</p><p>The successful candidate will prepare tender documentation and specifications and will evaluate tender returns, ensuring compliance with procurement rules and procedures, set standards and specifications and will manage and track budgets to ensure financial control is in place for all works ensuring a thorough and robust change control programme is embedded.</p><p>Candidates should have a Professional qualification/relevant degree (Engineering) or similar and have proven technical skills within either a mechanical or electrical background. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1300 people and provide a wide range of services across our UK sites.</p><p>We are looking for an experienced BMS Manager to be responsible for day to day management and operation of the University&rsquo;s two Building Management Systems. You will lead on the production and implementation of the BMS Strategy, setting objectives for team members and performance criteria for service providers and will assist in the development of a ten-year asset replacement plan. You will also lead on the provision of a system software and hardware continuous improvement plan and will be accountable for the technical advice and qualitative control of all Capital or Revenue project installations or upgrades.</p><p>The role holder will manage the provision of 24/7 support service to the University, including the monitoring and response to Critical Alarms out of hours and will oversee the management of contractors for allocated projects, to ensure the correct standards and quality of work are achieved within the agreed time frame and allocated budget.</p><p>Candidates should have post qualification experience of BMS, mechanical or electrical services and associated plant, have experience and knowledge of building management systems, services and utilities within a large multi-site operation and have experience of managing large scale projects ensuring they are kept to plan and within budget. Main duties will include organising and supervising the Building Attendant and Cleaning Teams, inspecting the infrastructure of the buildings, reporting maintenance issues and setting up meeting rooms ensuring adequate supplies of consumables are available for teaching and conferences.</p><p>You will also lock and unlock designated areas of the buildings within your area of responsibility issuing and receiving keys from staff and contractors ensuring relevant policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. A large part of this role includes being the first point of contact for visitors to the area which includes dealing with large numbers of enquiries face to face, by phone and by e-mail ensuring excellent customer service is always achieved.
