The role 

We are seeking a talented and proactive Pathway Liaison Manager to lead key partnerships between the University and its pathway partners, including managing operational relationships with Kaplan/the University of Nottingham International College (UNIC), and the University’s international sponsor network. 

This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of our international strategy, focused on maximising student progression from pathway programmes into undergraduate and postgraduate study, ensuring a high-quality, seamless transition for international students. 

Working closely with academic schools and professional services, you will drive performance through data-led insights, develop new progression opportunities, monitor performance data, and implement strategies to improve conversion and student success.

The role will manage the broader pathway provider relations and recruitment, which entails overseeing areas such as student recruitment activities, academic performance reviews, and relationship stewardship with various provider organisations. 

About the team

You will join the Pathway Partnerships team within the Student Recruitment team, External Relations; a collaborative and forward-thinking department focused on growing the University’s international student recruitment. 

The team works closely with academic departments, marketing and recruitment colleagues, and international partners worldwide. We are committed to innovation, data-informed decision-making, and delivering an excellent experience for international students from enquiry through to enrolment and beyond.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and relationship-driven professional with experience in international education or partnership management. 

You will bring:

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience in international student recruitment, pathway programmes, or similar 
• The ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decision-making
• Excellent organisation and project management skills
• A sound understanding of UK higher education and quality assurance frameworks 

You will be confident working across diverse teams and cultures, with the ability to influence, negotiate and drive initiatives forward. Experience with working with private providers in higher education, digital marketing, or international markets would be advantageous.
