            <p id="isPasted"><strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">INTERNAL VACANCY</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.</span></strong></p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>The School of Sociology &amp; Social Policy is looking to recruit Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (PGTAs) to support the delivery of core undergraduate modules in autumn semester 2026-27. Applications are welcome from any PGRs registered for study in the School, whether or not you have previous teaching experience. These posts are offered on a 0.2fte (one day per week) basis for a fixed term of six-months, from 1st September 2026 to 28th February 2027.</p><p>During Autumn 2026 there will be several different work packages available, based over different modules. The information around these modules will be discussed at interview if shortlisted.</p><p>Each PGTA work package consists of 2 weekly seminar groups, plus associated marking at both points of assessments. PGTAs are also required to respond to student queries, meet with module convenors to ensure consistent delivery of teaching and consistent application of assessment criteria, and occasionally attend other meetings. PGTA work is not evenly distributed across the 6 months duration of the fixed-term contract and PGTAs are expected to work flexibly to accommodate the delivery of teaching and the timely completion of marking.
