We value collaboration, fresh thinking and inclusive ways of working - and we believe these are essential to excellent governance.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>As Senior Governance Manager, you will:</p><ul><li>Lead and deliver high‑quality professional secretariat support to the University&rsquo;s most senior committees;</li><li>Work closely with a peer manager to ensure a consistent, resilient and forward‑looking governance service;</li><li>Build strong business partnering relationships with senior stakeholders, providing confident, credible advice;</li><li>Support and develop your team by setting clear direction, empowering staff and enabling them to perform at their best.</li></ul><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>We are looking for a <strong>positive, collaborative and experienced manager</strong> who brings:</p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of governance principles and how they are applied in practice;</li><li>Proven experience of managing people and supporting their development;</li><li>Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to be diplomatic, confident and firm when required;</li><li>A delivery‑focused mindset, with a commitment to quality, improvement and professionalism.</li></ul><p><strong>Don&rsquo;t meet every requirement?</strong></p><p>We encourage you to apply even if you don&rsquo;t meet every single criterion.
