            <p id="isPasted">The University of Nottingham has been providing an outstanding student experience for over 140 years and is a leading university of worldwide significance with established campuses in UK, China and Malaysia.</p><p><strong>Your role as a Gardener/Groundworker</strong></p><p>Based at Sutton Bonington Campus near Loughborough this is a full time, permanent role within the award-winning Landscape &amp; grounds team. Main duties will include assisting with the maintenance of a wide range of sports grounds areas to a high standard including marking out playing surfaces and maintaining turf and artificial surfaces. Other duties will include the preparation, care and maintenance of amenity landscapes areas across university grounds including planting perennials, shrubs and supporting events such as Graduations &amp; open days.&nbsp;</p><p>Candidates should be highly motivated, professional and be able to work with minimal supervision. You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in amenity horticulture or Sports Ground practices, or a related discipline or have proven relevant experience and be able to operate a wide range of powered machinery including tractors and other equipment used in Sports grounds maintenance &amp; Amenity horticulture. Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive between university sites a full, current driving licence is essential for this role.             <p id="isPasted"><strong>About the Role/You&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Based at Sutton Bonington Campus and working across all University sites, this role will assist in the maintenance of University Grounds &amp; Gardens, including water features and Sports Grounds.</p><p>Main duties will include:</p><p>&middot; All aspects of staff supervision including allocating tasks and drawing up work schedules.</p><p>&middot; Duties include managing extensive mature borders, amenity and formal planted areas, and supporting the re wilding of designated Campus areas.</p><p>&middot; Day-to-day supervision of the use and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, completing associated documentation to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and University policies.</p><p>&middot; Preparation and staffing of projects and events such as Graduation ceremonies, Sporting Tournaments, and Conferences.</p><p>&middot; Dealing with out-of-hours emergencies such as storm damage or gritting. .</p><p>Qualifications: Candidates should be qualified to NVQ2 or 3 and/or City &amp; Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Amenity Horticulture Practices or equivalent level qualifications from appropriate professional bodies. Candidates must have extensive experience working in Amenity Horticulture/Grounds maintenance, be able to undertake a wide range of duties, and have supervisory experience gained within a similar role.</p><p>Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive vehicles involved in grounds maintenance operations and transport materials between university sites, candidates must hold a valid driving license.</p><p><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">The post will be offered on a full-time (36.25 hours per week), permanent contract. 36.25 per week to be worked between the hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional weekends as required.
