            <p id="isPasted">The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1250 people and provide a wide range of services across our U.K sites.</p><p>We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to work within the Estates Department to undertake planned and reactive maintenance across the University&rsquo;s estate. You will independently carry out assigned works involving all aspects of electrical building services, systems and installations, planning and selecting appropriate materials to comply with current British standards and Health and Safety legislation, completing relevant documentation on electronic and paper systems as required.</p><p>Candidates should have demonstrable post qualification experience in electrical installation and maintenance with a focus on industrial and be qualified to City and Guilds 2365 Level 2 and 3 or have equivalent qualifications. You should also have a working knowledge of the requirements of the Electricity at work regulations and have experience in undertaking periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations. Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive between University sites a full UK Category B driving licence is required with no automatic-only restriction (code 78).             <p id="isPasted">About the Role &amp; Team:</p><p>We are looking for an experienced and customer focused Facilities Team Leader to join our team at Jubilee Park Campus. Main duties will include organising and supervising the Building Attendant and Cleaning Teams, inspecting the infrastructure of the buildings, reporting maintenance issues and setting up meeting rooms ensuring adequate supplies of consumables are available for teaching and conferences.</p><p>You will also lock and unlock designated areas of the buildings within your area of responsibility issuing and receiving keys from staff and contractors ensuring relevant policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. A large part of this role includes being the first point of contact for visitors to the area which includes dealing with large numbers of enquiries face to face, by phone and by e-mail ensuring excellent customer service is always achieved. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleaning standards within the area and will induct, train and supervise the cleaning team carrying out appraisal conversations as required.</p><p>Candidates should have experience of working in a similar customer facing environment and have relevant cleaning experience. You will also have experience of supervising staff and ideally have basic maintenance experience and knowledge of fire and security alarm systems.</p><p>The role can be physically demanding but lifting aids and full training will be provided.</p><p>Further details regarding the duties for this post can be found on the attached job role profile.
