Research Coordinator, TEA Study (Part-time, Fixed Term)

About the role

We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Research Coordinator to join the Techniques to Enable Safe and Dignified Drinking in Adults with Dysphagia (TEA) Study, an NIHR-funded research project led by Dr Jacqueline Benfield. The TEA Study aims to identify the most promising techniques used to help adults with swallowing difficulties drink safely and comfortably, improving care, dignity and quality of life for people living with dysphagia.

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of this multi-stage research study, working closely with the research team and a wide range of stakeholders including clinicians, researchers, patients, carers and external partners. Your responsibilities will include coordinating study administration, supporting meetings and events, tracking project activities and timelines, maintaining records and documentation, responding to enquiries, and helping ensure the smooth delivery of study objectives.

About the team

You will join the Centre for Rehabilitation and Ageing Research within the School of Medicine and work alongside an established multidisciplinary team with expertise in dysphagia and mixed methods research. About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and experience managing competing priorities.
• Experience coordinating projects, activities or complex administrative processes.
• Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the Techniques to Enable Safe and Dignified Drinking in Adults with Dysphagia (TEA) Study, an NIHR HTA-funded research project. The TEA Study aims to identify the most promising interventions to support safe and dignified drinking for adults with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), informing a future clinical trial to test effectiveness. The programme includes a national survey, qualitative research, a literature review and a consensus project. Working closely with Dr Jacqui Benfield and the wider research team, you will support a range of research activities including literature searches, questionnaire development, survey administration, data collection and analysis, and the preparation of reports and publications. You will contribute to the delivery of a high-profile research programme with the opportunity to develop your research skills and experience in rehabilitation and dysphagia research.

You will join the Centre for Rehabilitation and Ageing Research within the School of Medicine and become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team with expertise in rehabilitation and dysphagia research. • The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
