About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative professional to lead the University’s strategic approach to non‑clinical placements. In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the go‑to specialist for placement processes, guidance, and initial health, safety and insurance enquiries, shaping a consistent and high‑quality experience for students across the University.

You’ll set the direction for placement and work‑experience activity within the Careers and Employability Service (CES), while overseeing the delivery of key programmes including the Nottingham Internship Scheme and CES‑led placement activity. Using data‑driven insight and clear KPIs, you’ll monitor performance, evaluate impact, and report progress to senior colleagues.

Working closely with colleagues across CES, schools, faculties and professional services, you’ll champion accessible, inclusive provision and help ensure that placement practice is aligned, effective and student‑centred. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to how students engage with real‑world experience at the University.

This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working options available. You are expected to work at least 60% of the time on campus. Occasional early morning or evening work may be required to attend, support or deliver events.
